High heels clacking on concrete is one of my top 5 favorite sounds.

So, my massive office is in the process of moving to a new building. Imagine boxes, movers and 20 years of paperwork. Everywhere. Because there has been so much traffic through all of the halls, the movers have laid sheets of peg board over the carpet in the hallways. Coincidentally, the only way to get to the bathroom is by walking over these boards.

So what have I heard everyday for the past 2 weeks? Professional business men and women click clacking their way to the bathroom. It's no high heels on concrete, but I think the men secretly love it.

Book Fairs and Scholastic Magazines

 If I were to start a summer reading list... 

Memoir about a girl finding God through the Catholic Church. Writing style is a mix of Anne Lamott and Lauren Winner. Ah yes.

I'll read anything by David Sedaris. Holiday's on Ice is a personal favorite.

I love the movie the Painted Veil. It's based on the book written by Somerset Maugham. The Barnes and Noble guy helping me find the book kept saying, "Oh yeaaa.. its written by Mom." Or at least thats what I was hearing. Anways, Maugham is the writer. I'm intrigued.

Birthday Suit

June 5th means two things this year. One: Best friends Birthday and Two: A 13 Auburn Friends Reunion in Mobile, Alabama! My contribution to the weekend is the birthday present to birthday girl Ivy from all the friends. Gift Genre: An outfit. I'm thinking something along these lines...

Roommate Jamie introduced me to these mints. They are weird and congealed and I love them. They last forever too!

Michael's, Hobby Lobby and Joann's Fabric

These are all stores that I love. Ironically, these stores do not exist in Manhattan. Yes we have districts for fabric, flowers and trim, but sometimes its nice to go into ONE store that has all of these things. On the search for bed skirt fabric, I ran across this store. 

Tinsel Trading Company. Had a shabby chic meets elements of style vibe.

The best part about it?

The walls and walls of RIBBON. Maybe I'm just slow, but it has taken me almost 2 years to find a place that sells more than 10 spools of ribbon.
